Opportunity, participation and quality of life
We support long-term, practical initiatives across Health, Learning to Earning and Sport. Together with strong partners, we help create opportunities for people to develop their capabilities, participate fully in society and lead healthier, more active and meaningful lives.
For us, lasting progress means more than economic growth or access to services. It is also about whether people can make use of these opportunities, participate fully in society and fulfil their potential.
Building pathways from learning to earning and entrepreneurship
We support initiatives that help young people move from learning into meaningful work, entrepreneurship and long-term economic participation. The Foundation focuses on approaches that strengthen skills, confidence, and create new opportunities – particularly for young people who face social, geographic or economic barriers to employment.
Our work spans education, vocational training, digital learning and employment pathways. We also explore how emerging technologies and innovative financing approaches can expand access and improve long-term outcomes. We support experienced partners who combine practical implementation with strong local understanding and a clear pathway towards sustainability and scale.
Where we focus
In the Mekong region, we support initiatives that help young people facing barriers to education and employment gain access to technical and social skills. This includes support for programmes that strengthen employability, encourage entrepreneurship and help young people build more stable futures for themselves and their communities.
In Switzerland, we focus all of our Learning to Earning funding on our partnership with Smartfeld. Together, we support schools, teachers and education professionals in integrating AI and digital technologies into education in practical and responsible ways. This includes professional development for teachers, curriculum innovation and new approaches that help prepare young people for a rapidly changing world of work.
Partnerships and initiatives
Our Learning to Earning partnerships focus on helping young people develop practical skills, gain real-world experience and build long-term pathways into employment and entrepreneurship. We support initiatives that connect education with practical application, while helping strengthen the wider systems and relationships needed for long-term opportunity and economic participation.
Our strategic partners include Child’s Dream Foundation in the Mekong region and Smartfeld in Switzerland. Both organizations develop approaches tailored to their respective regional contexts, helping prepare young people and educators for rapidly evolving educational and employment environments.
